So, like I said I wanted to make an actual post about making avatars for all of you people who would like one!

I have a few rules I would like you to follow and a little form of application for a character avatar, followed by samples of avatars I drew in the past.

RULES

• You avatar description MUST correspond to the forum's main rules
  
• Your request must be PG13
  
• Your request must correspond to a more or less canon representation of your character. By that I mean it has to be relevant to this forum's AU.
  
• Be polite, please, I'm doing this because I want to.
  
• Be PATIENT. Same reason as stated above. I'm pretty busy so as much as I'd like to deliver with a simple finger snap its impossible.
  
• DO NOT. and I repeat. DO NOT claim the art as yours. If you use it elsewhere than here, give me credit please?
  
• Please, do not use the samples as your own avatar. Those were created for other people who are currently using them.

Alright I think that pretty much covers it, I can't wait to get your requests. I will resize every avatar to the reglementary size (200x350 max) and post it here when it's done so be sure to keep on checking from time to time! I will most likely post the high res. version on my tumblr. Cropping shouldn't be required but feel free to do it if you want to. Just don't forget to respect the maximum size!

And also, another very important thing is feel free to leave feedback!! Really, your comments are welcome.

Character Name: Dirk Strider

Physical Description: I just added to my character sheet that Dirk took his shades off after the beginning of the war so he could be more incognito, so I guess, no shades on. Also, he should be wearing rather simple clothes (like, not the clothes he used to wear when he was in the palace). Maybe something similar to what you did for Sollux, but it's up to you! He should also be wearing a cloak with a hood (hood up or down, it's up to you).

Personality: My headcanon for Dirk is not really different from his canon personality. He looks stoic most of the time. I'll still leave here the stuff I wrote about his personality though:

Character Name: Terezi Pyrope

Physical Description: She tends to wear male's clothes since fancy isn't for her. With her dragon hoodie in which the eyes are actually her glasses.

Personality: Terezi is highly unstable but she tries to be sane around her friends. If she is caught in a dead end, she will freak and blindlessly defend herself. The best way to picture her is an unbalanced balance.

Preferences: Large, please. And could you make her giggling?

Character Name: Draconian Dignitary

Physical Description: The Draconian Dignitary wears the same thing as his Canon version, there are no modification at all.

Personality: (Character sheet here) Again, he is pretty much like his Canon counterpart, cold-blooded and emotionless, most of the time. However, he seems to grin when everything goes acording to his plans. He does also feel kind of superior with almost everyone, maybe because of his reputation amongs the dersite population.


Preferences: Large avatar would be nice. Having his lance or some sort of fitting weapon in a battle position or aggressive stance would be great. (Keeping the weapon as much as possible, the stance isn't important if you have to drop it. ^^;) Of course, this is totally your choice and work, if anything is not right, feel free to make modifications for it to work or tell about it. I'm sure you can make a great job!

So since I've been drawing all day I had time to complete your request! I hope it's not too bad... I never drew a carapace before to be honest!



If you want me to change anything let me know, it really didn't take that long to draw since it's all black/white/grey so it should be easy to change.

That was pretty much the stance I was thinking, though I was quite surprised for the spear being curved, I took some time to get it why it was in such way, it's no problem at all. ^^

Yes sorry maybe with speedlines it would have been more explicit that it's due to movement but I fail at speedlines. I'm glad it pleases you!

Character Name: Jake English

Physical Description: He always wear a typical Prospitian uniform. Nothing too fancy, as he prefers freedom of movement over looking good. Because of his role as a Page, he never goes outside without his twin Berettas holstered to his sides, as well as a simple one-handed blade(He'd love to go for something bigger, but sometimes the situation requires him to wield both a gun and his sword at the same time, so he has to keep things simple.) and a concealed dagger under his right pant-leg(You don't have to draw in that last part haha, I'm just developping him a lil' more.).

Personality: ( Character sheet here ) Althought I would also like to add that while he's totally at ease with his friends in the palace, he is still a very sheltered person, and isn't very good in typical social situations, or with people in general, despite getting higher education. When he's accompanying John outside of the palace, he prefers to stay humble, because he can't just mess around like an idiot and make the Heir look foolish, can't he?

Preferences: Small I guess?. I don't really care to be quite honest, so I'll leave it to you to judge what looks best! And I would like to request him in a specific pose. He's a bit hunched forward, with his hand casually holding the back of his head, eyes closed and giving a honest, sheepish smile. It's sort of a "Hahahaaaaa oh jeez I messed up again didn't I?" kind of face. Also, since almost the entirety of Prospit already regards him as a total badass, he isn't too concerned about his personal hygiene. I mean he still takes baths regularly like a normal person, but he's kind of forgotten notions like "Dress to impress" and the like. So if you could maybe draw a tiny bit of unshaven facial hair(we're talking 1-2 days old here,) around his chin that would be the absolute best c:

Physical description: Link down below but if you want more here: Her bangs usually cover her eyes but if you do see her eyes they are a troll like gray with flecks of violet. Her dreamers outfit is form fitting while two straps hold the dress up. Attach to those straps in the veil like substance that covers her arms. The dress itself starts a little after the collar-bone. On her neck is a simple derse purple choker. She owns a black cloak but only wears it sometimes, usually just for the hood.

Physical description: (straight from my profile) Mara has black hair that cascades in wavy curls just past her shoulders. Messy and often thrown up in a ponytail, her hair is something she fiddles with when she thinks. Mara’s bangs part to the side and often hang down into her eyes, causing her much annoyance. Her eyes are wide, and a dull shade of hazel, but shine with an unsatisfied curiosity. She stands at 5’4”, and has wide hips. In conversations, Mara likes to portray herself as a strong person who can defend herself, however she’s never really tried this theory, and it stays as such. She once wore the robes of a Maiden at the Temple of Life, but the lackluster daily events compelled her to leave. Her Prospitian robes are a golden dress, longer in the back and shorter in the front, with a high collar around the neck. Two fingerless grace her arms, one to her elbow and the other just above her wrist. Pinstriped stockings cover her legs that would be exposed by her dress, and tall boots go up to her mid-calf.
