Major developments / FIRST EVENT? aka EQUIUS'S BLATANT TREASON

Since there was some major developments in the storyline [see post], we thought it would be better to brainstorm a little on what's going to happen next.

In the ongoing roleplay between Equius Zahhak and Jack Noir, the former revealed to the latter where Dirk Strider is hiding!

So what will happen next is that Jack Noir will attack the HQ with the help of his agents maybe? This mean the rebels will probably be WITHOUT A HQ after that event.

So as some of you might know, we had another possible event coming, that one was suggest by Rose Lalonde in the chatbox. For this event, we will need a proper HQ for the rebels since it involve her being kidnapped by the rebels.

What I am suggesting is that we either do Rose’s idea first and then Jack’s or the other way around.

THIS IS A BRAINSTORMING. Everyone can be part of this discussion! Feel free to bring in any idea!

I think that this event is great!

For the storyline problem, I think it could work that way:

We planned to finish the roleplay between myself, DD, Dirk and Dove and THEN do the event Rose suggested.

If Rose don’t mind, her event could be moved AFTER Jack’s because it would work better in my opinion.

I thought about it and the basement of the liquor shop is really not a good HQ, and it’s NOT a good place to keep a prisoner.

So yeah, after the roleplay is done, we could do a big one with all the rebels who want to be part of it, when Jack attacks the HQ and there is this huge epic fight or something like that!

Or the rebels are forced to flee, and they will have to find a new place to hide... They could use an abandoned house, which would be bigger and that would allow to do Rose’s event!

I'm thinking for crashing the Adonis, we'll have the Dig. and I br8k h34ds and crash the party, and the fate of the partygoers is up for grabs.

Maybe get Dave in on our side too, like Rose suggested.

So after some chatting we've come to the conclusion that Roxy and I share a brain.

I agree it would probably be best to do my idea after the HQ attack. Partly because like Roxy said a basement is hardly a good place to keep a prisoner especially if the owner of the store is kind of just letting you stay there. He comes down sees prisoner.. yeah.

Also if we do it in the order of attack HQ --> execution/kidnapping then in the attack we could maybe have a NPC rebel, or even a few maybe, get caught. A good reason for a public execution and for wanting to get back at the Condesce.

Ok so when the HQ will be attack, ALL THE DERSE REBELS and ALL THE BAD GUYS are invited to be part of it!

Here's what I've gathered from this so far:

Jack is going to raid the basement beneath the Vinous Adonis.
Dave will participate, though unwillingly.
The rebels will relocate, possibly to an abandoned building in the Slum District?
Several NPC Rebels will be captured and executed for being rebel scum.
Rose will find out about the whole fiasco, go out and get herself captured by the Rebels.

Here's what I think would be cool to happen:

Dave manages to tip Rebels off at last minute, and they are evacuating at the last minute when Jack shows up.
Dirk gets captured, and is the last to be executed.
Rebels crash the execution at the last minute in a daring break-out.
Stand off, Rose is used as a bargaining chip.
???
PROFIT!

You know whatever, just some thoughts.

I myself thought about one of rebels getting caught (though maybe not Dirk) but I'm not sure, that might be a little too much...

Like raid + execution + crashing the execution + kidnapping of Rose

I don't know!

But it would be nice if Dave could tip them!

Yeah so for reference, we have a few roleplays happening the same day:

Rude Aweking + Map Making + Dangerous Expedition + The Lost Black Sheep + New Meat in the Low District (am I forgetting any?)

These roleplays involve : Dirk, Dove, Roxy, Draconian Dignitary, Sollux, Aradia and Feferi

Also, we still need to do roleplays were Sollux, Roxy and maybe Feferi are introduced properly to the rebel organisation.

That day is kind of important for the plot since there is a confrontation between the rebels and Diamonds Droog, and like I already said, two or three new characters for the rebels.

We said in the chatbox that it would be a good idea for Out for Repair and the raid to take place at least a week later!

Hey guys,

We should somehow have a way to get some Prospitans involved in this. They do have that war going on right now, so Point would probably be off in a warship with the rest of the army, etc. That would probably have taken place after Of Conspiraces and Revelations, so Point'll have already sort-of declared her intentions against the Condesce to Nirana. It's a perfect opportunity to bring some of the Prospit rebels over to Derse.

Once we get the ball rolling, I'm pretty sure things will progress quickly from the raid of Vinous Adonis. From then on, the rebellion's main goal will probably be bringing down the Condesce's rule and calming the highbloods and everyone else who supports the Condesce. For that, I'm thinking that we'll need the Prospitans as well. That probably won't be easy, especially since we still haven't gotten all of the canon characters here yet, but that's another problem for later!

During that time, if Point and the other commanders have the ability to jump from Derse to Prospit, and vice versa, would it be possible to sort of smuggle the Prospitan rebels back to Derse on a warship?

I know this idea might sound weird/unrealistic, but I think this would be a great opportunity to get some Prospitans in on this!

I understand your point but there is no way we can involve Prospitians in this specific event. The raid is a spontaneous event in which only Derse’s rebel and the agents/army will be involved. The following events will logically also be Derse-exclusive.

We have to avoid getting carried away! Including too much action in the same event is a really bad idea. The point is not to rush the story but to keep it running as long as possible.

Running this kind of events is not easy, it means a lot of roleplayers in the same post and trust me, that can turn into a mess in no time! We already have a lot of people involved so we’ll try to keep it simple.

However, I will take note of your ideas because I like them! Especially the one about smuggling Prospit’s rebels in warships!

Also, don’t worry! Prospit will have its share of events. We are already working on something.

Aww, okay! I'd totally forgotten about how convoluted a RP can get, especially when there's so many people ;___; Sorry 'bout that.

At any rate, what've we gotten figured out so far?
