Okay so I was wondering how the naming would work in this AU?
In cannon most carapaces were made in tubes so they were probably programmed for exactly the work they were going to do later and therefore could be named accordingly
but as far as i understood here they are born naturally and can choose for the most part what they want to do as work?
So would they get different names as children and then just rename themselves according to whatever their current occupation is, like they did in cannon when they were exiled?
If so what would the criteria be for names for kids, since they don't have any jobs other then going to school?
Or would the children just be given the first letters ( like PM; AR; WV ) of their names in the beginning so that they could name themselves later?

Hmm. My headcanon is that the government officials were the ones to have only abbreviations instead of real names, like WQ, PM, AR. However, I'm pretty sure they still had real names that they went by. I had to make one up for this forum- it's Adelaide Alstari.

Random, but it was just for the sake of giving a name to WQ instead of having her husband call her Queen every single time.

I must say I didn’t think about that... I didn’t want to rename every canon carapaces (that would have been a pain and everyone would have wondered who was who xD) and I didn’t think we would actually have carapace ocs. But it turns out we have one! Arkus Anitoche, the Royal Ancillary. So his abreviations would be RA.

Canon-wise, we have Jack Noir. That would be his “personal name”. He also has a “profesional name”, which is Sovereign Slayer (but no one uses that).

So that would be our answer! Every carapace has a name that their family and close friends can use but in society, they mostly go by their professional name. (except for Jack Noir because he’s such a badass!)

I also like the abreviation thing, White Queen! That would make sense!


Anyway, feel free to choose a name for PM! It doesn't have to be the same initials at all!

i wasn't even planing on giving PM a different name it was just something that accured to me and i wanted to make sure i wasn't doing something wrong haha

i really like the abreviaton thing though, even though i kinda cling to the every name combo starts with the same letters, it makes them esier to distunguish especially when making fan carapaces or when working with AUs o:
