Psychological Traits: Allpha, ever since she was young and taken in by a stern carapacian male, has been extremely sheltered. She hardly remembers life on Alternia and the few memories she does have of it are disturbing and unpleasant. Due to the way she was raised, she has almost no social skills. She makes an effort to be somewhat affable, but many are suspicious of her (her blood color suggest she might be a spy from derse, though she really isn't and has no desire to be one). She hardly bemoans her lack of friends and instead just keeps to herself, though she sometimes tries to interact with others. (9/10 times it spells disaster) She genuinely wants to find someone she really cares about. As of late, she's had growing violent urges and they both confuse and worry her. This includes nightmares where she kills a faceless lowblood. She's terrified of hurting her adoptive father, who always treated her like his own and with a sort of gruff kindness. She's easily influenced by others and changes her mind often. She's generally quite scatterbrained, but has a good head for sorting things out in a discernible way.
She's quite idealistic and looks on the bright side of things, even when she teeters on the edge of becoming unrealistic with her hope. Her eagerness to not disappoint can near mania. She's good at word games and riddles, terrible at arithmetic.
Physical Description: Her blood color is violet. She's a bit testy about the fact that she's kind of short for a seadweller as well, standing at 5'5". Neither subject is deemed important enough for her to fret about. She has sharp horns that curve slightly backwards and are midlength. Her figure is nothing impressive, though she has long legs and a thin waist. She went her whole life doing minimal physical labor, both because she becomes ill quite easily and because her adoptive father insists on doing the work around their small house. Because of this she's on the mediocre side of average strength-wise and could be taken in a fight. Her ability to strategize isn't enough to for her to maneuver herself to victory. She has oddly cut hair, cropped short in the back and long in the front (kinda handmaid-esque). She still has a baby face, her eyes and forehead wide and her fins seem a little too big for her head. She wears simple clothing, usually resorting to just some shorts and a long sleeved shirt in the golden hues of Prospit.
Background: Her memories of Alternia are extremely vague, but she can remember the feeling of safety of her lusus and memories of a life spent mostly underwater. Her lusus was an electric eel, and often accidentally shocked her (though it would do it on purpose if she misbehaved, sort of like spanking). However, she also remembers coming up to surface, usually to see chaos above. She learned that she had been witnessing battles when she grew older. She was usually oblivious to the surface, despite the growing pollution of the water. Both her and her lusus grew quite sick due to the pollution. By the time Alternia was declared barren and unfit to live on, both of them were nearly dead.
Carapacian soldiers found her and fished her out of the water, leaving her lusus to die, and she was taken to Prospit. They were considering either letting her pass on or putting her out of her misery, but one of the soliers felt a paternal affection for her, asked them not to harm her and offering to take responsibility for her, and decided to take her in. She now subconsciously associates Alternia with the pain of her illness and therefore locks it out of her thoughts as best as she can. Her adoptive father is rather protective of her, and has a habit of often interrogating her and anyone he sees around her. That, along with her being a seadweller and her generally reclusive nature and offbeat attitude drives potential friends away. She doesn't need the company of many others, and generally doesn't mind.
She spent her free time as a child exploring the markets, and despite acting distant and cold to her peers she was a sweetheart to shopkeepers and carapacians. She was genuinely scared of other trolls her age, they teased her about her big fins and clumsy speech and her general awkwardness and she decided she liked carapacians more. After all, all the carapacians she met were usually kind to her (due to her father's military position). She played by herself in the streets of the marketplace, never daring to steal because she felt no need to and her father always clearly taught her the differences between right and wrong. Once she found a small run down local puzzle and bookstore, she spent most of her time in there, chatting loudly with the shopkeeper, a middle-aged carapace female who grew fond of her.
She knows of the coming threat of derse, but has a genuine apathy towards the whole thing. She forcibly quells her worries that one day they'll come to Prospit and destroy what she's known for almost her whole life. She hopes it won't happen and blindly believes it won't.
Her father now is near retirement and she's started a job as a low-ranking postal service member, hoping to keep a steady income into the household. This job is taking her deeper into the back alleys and slums, usually to deliver correspondence between trolls. The shadiness of the recipients sometimes makes her nervous, but she usually just charges ahead with the attitude of "whatever happens, I'll find some way out".
OOC: sorry to disappoint you this is condy, no one new. I really wanted to explore a (likeable, not completely batshit twisted) character! Please give me feedback, I think this character still has some problems and needs to be fixed.
