Unless it was different on Alternia then Earth on this aspect which I doubt but we have no way of being sure, then they need drones for that or something of the like I suppose?

So filling buckets? Not something particularly special but affection like that? About as redrom as you can get. Something meant to be private, since the trolls have been shown as a violent race countless times. Only the one you're supremely close to would you drop your guard with and be like that around, making it something not for the public eye. Just like you wouldn't (I hope you wouldn't at least) spontaneously decide to have sex with your significant other in the middle of the street.

That's why, in my opinion, something like this counts as porn for uu. It's not something you're meant to see unless you're part of it.

But actually Rose, I've been thinking the same thing as you. Showing Affection might be something completely taboo to Trolls, since, well, they don't do that.

However, Terezi and Karkat DID hug out in the open, but I guess there weren't too many to witness it.

First and foremost, I'm just here to say that update was one of the most entertaining I've read in a while. Not to say HS isn't entertaining, but this was amusing stuff. Must be Dirk's "whatever, dude" attitude to the whole thing. That and, until we finally get to see his face, I'll always picture uu as some sort of horribly warped, OOC version of Karkat. So the entire time I was reading it, I had the mental image of Karkat pressing his face up to his computer screen, wilded-eyed, blushing, and key-smashing erratically.

And oh my goodness, Rose, that is a fantastic point. I'm always amazed at how in-depth everyone gets in thinking about all of these things in regards to troll culture. But then I remember we're the Homestuck fandom. We could probably master cold-fusion if it related to an update XD

I agree with Jade, that was the awesomest update since Codtier Gamzee.

Finally got around to reading through this, and I have to say it's pretty damned fantastic, especially since I was busting out laughing while I read uu's parts aloud.

Honestly I think uu's pretty goddamned fantastic in how utterly ridiculous he is. Just... damn. That, and the whole cotton candy bit certainly helped as well. :v

Yeah! XD He's really ridiculous... But I guess that's what make him so lovable? Like how he tries to pretend it's ironic but in fact it's really not?
