Wow guys. Wow. I was not expecting so many people to like the my contest idea! Well if this is going to be a contest, it's going to need a bit more structure, wouldn't you say?


Good question! The point of this is to compete with each other while also showing off our own styles, and to give prompts to give practice on various styles.


You make an outfit for a character on this forum. Each round there is ONE character given from a list of characters that their roleplayers have offered to play mannequin. There is also a theme that your design must somehow tie into. The character and theme will change each round. This is to give equal footing to everyone when voting.


Yes, voting. At the end of each round, which is two weeks long (possibly will be shortened to one week later on) the submitted designs will be put to voting. It is a contest after all, isn't it? Now before you ask, you're wondering what you'll win. Am I right?


Your prize if you win the round is that you get to pick the theme of the next round. I know it doesn't seem like much, but you'll also know that your design was picked by your peers as the best. I can't really afford to send prizes to people every two weeks, you know? The theme that the winner picks can be as specific or broad as they want. From dapper to retrostuck, it's up to you. That said, you can't pick one that'll be easy for you to win the next time around because you can't win twice in a row.


You betcha! And here they are, in nice numerical list form:

1) You cannot win twice in a row
2) In the voting sessions you cannot vote for your own piece
3) Genderbends will not be allowed. This is meant to push your artisticn-ness.
4) If you are volunteering your character for a redesign, you can resubmit their name only after there is a minimum of five names following it.
5) When voting keep in mind how well the theme is portrayed and not just the style of the art,
6) Please have taste when picking themes/redesigning. I know this goes without saying, but in case.
7) Rules are subject to change and updates as seen fit.

I have no concept of anatomy. It kinda fades out at the bottom because I have a shitty scanner.

I'm sorry for the bad quality, my scanner is shitty so I had to take a picture of my drawing and then sort of edit it?? I don't even know! So yeah, that's why it looks lame. xD'

I kind of have a concept for my drawing!! Since the theme was Medieval Fantasy, I looked into RPG classes and found the Necromancer one... It kind of struck me like the perfect class for Aradia since she likes dead things so much! xD

So I went with that and that's why she has a sort of magic staff and dark magic in her hand because she's summoning zombies!

I tried to use the canon as inspiration so her pants the bandages on her legs come from her God Tier outfit! (Also if you look closely, you can spot the TIME symbol hanging from her staff and on the pin she wears on her cloak!) The torn cloak and .... "dress" refer to her default outfit (when she's dead! xD). I also like to think Aradia's clothes were always tattered because of how she was exploring/playing in the dirt for archeology!

(Do I get bonus points for the awesome justification of my concept? No? Aaw! xD)

Oh gosh, I'm so sorry, Rose! I have my timezone set differently over on my computer, so that is totally my fault. You even mentioned it being EST and I still made that mistake. Again, I'm terribly sorry about the inconvenience.

Right, so. I've had a talk with a couple people and I've decided that for now, to extend the length of the rounds. Each round of submission and voting will be a MONTH rather than two weeks. Hopefully this place will actually pick up, and I will be able to shorten the rounds.
For now, you have two more weeks.

It was a little difficult at first, but i tried to make the disco era very...rose, for her outfit.
